The Resilience of Cory Remsburg
If you watched the State of the Union this week, you heard the remarkable story of Cory Remsburg. After being injured in Afghanistan, he was in a coma, came out of the coma, and then spent months in rehabilitation. All of that hard work earned him a place of honor at the State of the Union, and the applause, admiration, and respect of all the folks in the room and everyone watching at home.
We all have the ability to practice perseverance, discipline, and resilience. Most of us will never endure the courage of Cory Remsburg. But, we can use his story to say, “if he can do it, so can I.” It’s always enriching to work with MCG clients who understand the concept of resilience. Things may not look positive the first ‘go-around’ but with a positive disposition and putting your nose to the grindstone, the impossible can turn into possible.
So let’s remember the sacrifice and resilience of Cory Remsburg. And thank a Veteran this weekend for their sacrifice in serving our country and protecting our freedoms.
