Quit Yellen! She’s Got This!
March is Women’s History Month!
Let’s start the month learning more about Janet Yellen, the first female Federal Reserves Chair. Yellen has an impressive background. After earning her degree at the University of California at Berkeley, she received her doctorate in economics from Yale University. She previously worked at the central bank as an international economist and she served on the Fed’s Board of Governors. She working in the Clinton administration as head of the Council of Economic Advisers.
She has the challenging job of bringing the nation back to a full economic recovery. Although there are signs that the economy is improving, it is still not where it was before the recession. It will be interesting to watch the decisions she makes during her tenure and, hopefully, our economy will fully recover very soon!
